3. Copyrights

The customer also warrants that the subject matter to be printed is not copyrighted by a third party. The customer also recognizes that because subject matter does not have to bear a copyright notice in order to be protected by copyright law, absence of such notice does not necessarily assure a right to reproduce. The customer further warrants that no copyright notice has been removed from any material used in preparing the subject matter for reproduction. 5. Accuracy of Quotations

All quotations are based on the specifications provided by the client and those which appear on the letter of quote. If at the time of submission the specifications are different than those originally supplied, the job will be re-quoted and invoiced accordingly.

6. Proofs

Proofs are essential to the design and printing process as they eliminate errors and dissatisfaction with the overall design. Customers who pay for Afrilabel design services will receive proofs as part of the design process. Design changes must be submitted through email.

Proofs must be approved in writing in order to be put into production. Please advise proofs can add a business day on to your turnaround.

7. Design Charges

Afrilabel reserves the right to charge additional fees for in-process designs. Additional charges may occur if the design exceeds the originally specified design direction, if changes are significantly different from an originally agreed upon layout, or if the amount of design changes exceed the original design charge. Customers will be contacted before charges are applied to their invoice. Design charges do not cover the release of original files, please contact a Afrilabel for a quote for this service.

8. Printing:

8.1 Color & Size

Due to the nature of the printing process, exact color and cutting cannot be guaranteed. Exact cuts can not be guaranteed. There is an 3mm tolerance on the cutting process. For this reason we do not recommend using borders because the cut can shift slightly creating the border to appear off center. Different materials yield different colours even when using the exact same file. We also do not guarantee exact colours across different print stock. In addition we do not guarantee an exact colour match from previous orders on any print stock.

8.2 Sticker Counts

Afrilabel standard policy is that orders will have a quantity allowance of 2% above or below the ordered amount. If the job requires a specific amount of printed product, please speak to us at Afrilabel prior to submitting the order so we can work with you.

9. File Formatting

If supplying your own artwork, Afrilabel requires that print ready files be submitted as PDF, EPS, or AI files. These files should be high resolution (300 DPI), have a 2mm bleed, and be in CMYK. Additionally, all files need to be flattened.

10. Production Turnaround

Our standard production time is 3 working days. Production time does not include Saturday, Sunday or Public Holidays. Although Afrilabel can provide estimated pick-up times when the order is initially processed, these are just estimates and actual production time may vary based on the amount of other orders. Additional factors may delay production time including, but not limited to: mechanical issues, electrical failure, inclement weather, and power outage. Afrilabel does everything possible to meet the estimated times, but production times cannot be guaranteed. For urgent jobs, we offer an expedited service at an additional fee.

Any agreement resulting from acceptance by Afrilabel shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of South Africa and its courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any legal proceedings pertaining to the agreement.
